Spreading Valentine's love
This month at BestStart Oamaru Kindy we decided to celebrate Valentine’s Day by creating something special for somebody that we love. We discussed Valentine’s Day and how it was a day to celebrate those that we love and how we can do this by making them feel special or through doing something kind for them. The tamariki began to share with each other and the Kaiako ways that they could share their love or do something kind such as giving their friend a hug, helping Mum cook dinner or giving Mum a special kiss. Our tamariki enjoyed the experience of using their creativity and self-expression to make a special picture to share with someone that they love.
