Here at BestStart St Albans, we have been studying the Olympics in both classrooms. We have been trying out some of the different sports in miniature form. We have been playing games such as sock wrestling, shot put with hacky sacks and doing bike races!

We have also been exploring the different equipment used in some of these sports and seeing what we can do with them such as tennis rackets, hula hoops and basket balls. Last week we had someone special come in to teach us Judo. The tamariki got to try on the gi (judo jacket) and have a go at moving each other around using a judo grip. To end this topic, we had a dress up day!

Check out the cool pics of the tamariki/children trying out the different sport and the Olympic themed artwork!
