Our tamariki enjoyed the opportunity to learn how to recognise the different sirens of our emergency services such as Police, Firefighters and the Ambulance and the number to contact (111).  Using our imaginations, pictures, and guidance from our St Johns paramedic our tamariki explored different items and tools used by paramedics to help people who are hurt.

We had so much fun, then we had a role play session where two of our tamariki were our paramedics who were quick to respond to the emergency call.

Everyone used the bandages, Ka Pai! We may have future paramedics here at BestStart Onehunga. We also did very well at remembering everything we should do in an emergency.

We had so much fun learning about our emergency services especially, the ambulance. We all said a big thank you to all our emergency first responders who care for us and keep us safe. Nga mihi nui Kia koutou!
