St John's Visit at BestStart Merivale
Today we had a lovely lady from St john's come and talk to us about ambalances and when to call them and why we would talk them. We also talked about fire engines and police cars and what all these wonderful services do for us in our community. We talked alot about keeping ourselves safe at home, preschool and out in the community. We got to practice with the special equipment on our friends, we really enjoyed this part. We also listened to well to a story that was read to us. we learnt so much from today. This was such a wonderful learning experience for all the children, who were all fully engaged, asking questions and listening, and sharing their knowlege. We just love making connections in our local community and having them come into our centre to share their knowledge with us. What a great learning experince for all, the children couldn't wait to share their knowledge with their whanau at pick up time, so amazing to listen to.
