Stacking and construction is an important part of play that helps our tamariki gain an understanding of cause and effect. As they build things up, they see things tumble down and begin making connections between action and reaction.

They are developing motor skills and hand eye coordination as they stack and balance each block. Stacking also gives our tamariki the chance to make all the choices in regard to their play. There is no present order in which to stack or build, so they can use trial and error to create their own vision.
