Staying busy in Winter
Winter has brought lots of rainy days, but that doesn’t mean our fun stops. With plenty of indoor opportunities, our children are enjoying the warmth our rooms provide. Bubbles are a current favourite, providing opportunities to practice eye-tracking, language acquisition and enjoying the fun with our friends.
We’ve also moved some of our climbing equipment inside, which supports children’s gross motor skills and allows children to extend their previous climbing experiences. Using ladders as well as climbing walls, children are able to use a variety of skills as they negotiate their way through the obstacles.
We brought out our pegs which work with some of the toddler’s fine motor skills. Children learn the art of perseverance through all these fun, engaging learning experiences and enjoy being able to repeat their learning in a variety of ways.
