Staying connected through StoryPark
At BestStart Coronation we maintain a healthy relationship with the parents and whanau. During the lock down period, we stayed connected with our children and whanau through story park and personal phone conversations. We had a daily activity plan posted by the teachers to keep in touch with each child and to engage them while at home.
We conducted story telling sessions, interesting cooking activities, art and craft ideas and many other learning ideas which were easy for the children to follow. Parents also appreciated this daily activity plan and they joined us in making the learning successful. As a result, they shared their home stories with us which strengthened the connection with the children and parents. This helped to ensure a smooth return as the children being experienced our love and care.
