It's that time of year again and at BestStart Everglade Babies we like to teach our children some simple sun safety practices that even our youngest children can participate in.  Outdoor play is a big interest for all of our tamariki and with the weather getting warmer we want to ensure our children are kept safe while playing outside in the sun.

Every morning and afternoon, before the children head outside to play, we sit down together to apply sunblock and put on our sun hats.  Teachers support children with this process and even encourage the older children to apply the sunblock themselves, working towards instilling these sun safe practices that will stay with them for life.

Ka pai tamariki, let's go play outside!
