Summer Explorations
Our tamariki show strong interest in being in the outdoors and exploring nature. During the warm summer weather, water play has been everyone's favourite. Our children explore and learn about water through regular opportunities to engage with this natural element. Splashing in the water, pouring water with containers, watering the plants in our garden etc. The children's all-time favourite are bubbles.
Water play supports children to develop their hand-eye coordination, learn to lift, pour and control water, understand measuring, estimating and volume, understand heavy/light, float/sink and shallow/deep.
