Summer Popsicles

Looking for a fun recipe to try out at home?

There's nothing quite like a lovely icy treat to make and eat during summer!

Making a simple recipe with your child is also a great way to improve direction taking. 

  • Have them gather the ingredients. 
  • Go over the recipe step-by-step, having them follow along and help complete the task. 
  • This is also a great way to start introducing them to numbers and measurements.

Nutella popsicles

These Nutella popsicles are made with just two ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup full cream milk
  • 1/3 cup Nutella

Directions:

  1. Gather the ingredients and popsicle moulds.
  2. Place the milk and Nutella in a blender and blend until thoroughly combined.
  3. Pour into the popsicle moulds.
  4. Freeze and serve.

Breakfast popsicles

Ingredients:

  • Low fat vanilla yoghurt
  • Fruit, thinly sliced (kiwi, strawberries, blueberries)

Directions:

  1. Add a little yogurt to mould.
  2. Slide fruit slices down the sides if you want them to show and look pretty.  
  3. Add more yoghurt and then more fruit until mould is full.
  4. Freeze and serve.

Note: You can also chop your fruit small and combine it with the yoghurt, then pour into moulds and freeze.
