At BestStart Johnstones Road Kindy, we are committed to supporting the wellbeing of our tamariki, whānau and the wider Ōtara community.
We were proud to partner with The Fono Dental Team to host a free on-site dental clinic, helping make oral healthcare more accessible for children and families in our local community.
The clinic welcomed both our centre families and members of the wider community, providing free dental check-ups in a familiar, safe and convenient environment. Bringing this valuable service directly to our early childhood education centre helped reduce barriers to accessing dental care and encouraged positive oral health habits from an early age.
Our tamariki had the opportunity to meet the friendly dental team in a comfortable setting, helping them build confidence and develop positive experiences around dental visits. Families were also able to ask questions, receive helpful advice and learn more about the importance of regular dental care for young children.
