Supporting whānau during lockdown
With the recent events throughout New Zealand and more so in Auckland, BestStart St Lukes is committed and dedicated to providing exciting and fun filled experiences, opportunities and activities for all our tamariki while learning at home with their whānau. We know these times are tough and we want to ensure that all our whānau are supported as much as they can be. So on that note our vision is “everyone belongs and no one gets left behind”. Our whole team have embraced online learning and here are a few things we have been doing during lockdown. Dancing, dress up days, music and movement, lots of stories and singing times, interactive games and so much more.
We are having so much fun thinking outside the box with our teaching and learning and looking at ways to continue to support and provide with online education. We are constantly looking at new and inovated ideas and weaving these into our daily curriculum and teaching practice.
