Sustainable Gardening

Today our tamariki gathered the fruits of their labour and hard work in our vegetable garden. We picked lettuce for salad wraps for their afternoon tea. It is so nice to be able to enjoy all our hard work that has been going on in the garden. This gives our tamariki a sense of achievement and pride, being able to harvest our self-grown plants as well as seeing what teamwork and co-operation can do when you are working together for an end goal.
