Swimming Lessons at BestStart Tauranga Central
We are so excited to offer swimming lessons within our local community. Within walking distance from our centre is a local pool which is a fun walk for the children as we support road safety too. We take small groups to a swim school, where they have fully trained and qualified staff to educate the children with safe swimming skills.
We have enjoyed our first Term with the swim school and we have seen lots of improvement from each individual child with their swimming confidence and capabilities increasing. The age group we aim to take is 3-4 year olds where they learn to enjoy the water, how to float, blow bubbles, and slowly move through the lessons to gain swimming skills. During the lessons, the swimming instructors use music to encourage and support the children which they respond well with.
We encourage the swimming groups to watch and support each other when it is not their turn. On our walk, the children enjoy the people they meet in the community. The local dairy owner waves out and the mechanics from Phillips Garage always yell out with a "Hello!". The children say "We love going to swimming lessons, the walk is fun and the pool is warm".
We look forward to more visits each week along with all the other fun trips we enjoy taking within our local community!
