Swingin' Around!
Here at BestStart Oamaru Kindy we have an array of swings. The tamariki look forward to looking in the shed in the morning to help pick which ones to choose. The climbing swing and trapeze swing are fantastic for upper body strength and seeing the joy on on their faces when they have been practicing for so long when they make it up to the top is priceless!
The tamariki use their verbal and non-verbal communication to ask their peers for a push or if they can have a turn next. This promotes their language skills and turn taking.
