Taking turns at mat time!

Over the past couple of weeks, the children in the Teina Room have been interested in working with and alongside their peers. Today to support this interest I encouraged some of the tamariki to provide their very own mat time with some of my support. I provided them with some mat time resources such as board stories and song props and let them go wild. They all did a fantastic job at singing the songs together, taking turns with the resources and having chances to be the teacher. I loved listening to them talking about what song they were going to sing next and supporting each other with the actions! Ka pai tamariki ma!
