Talofa lava.
Here in BestStart Tawa's Infants room have been celebrating Samoan language week this month. This has been a lot of fun and learning for all our tamariki and kaiako/teachers too. Kaiako have enjoyed dressing up in lava lavas, wearing lays and our tamariki have enjoyed exploring art by creating their own tapa art. We sang a range of Samoan songs of course using our ukulele! Celebrating all cultures is an important aspect to us all here at BestStart Tawa and we love to celebrate cultural identity working in partnership with our tamariki and their whanau/family.
