Tamariki & Whānau Relationships
Our BestStart Silverdale centre has been staying connected with all our families and whānau during lockdown via zoom meetings, activities online and dropping activity packs off (whilst social distancing) to the homes of children who haven’t returned to day care yet. The activity packs were created for the age and stage of each child, and they were a big hit! The children have made some wonderful creations with the playdough, had fun with the cornflour gloop and practiced their writing skills. Families and whānau have been thankful to us in supporting their child’s ongoing learning and for the children to still have regular meetings with their Kaiako.
The well-being of our tamariki and maintaining communication and contact with families is important to us to help support them during these difficult times. Relationships are an integral part of our philosophy here at Silverdale.
