At BestStart Dey Street, we had a wonderful time celebrating Teddy Bear’s Day with all our tamariki!
It was a day full of fun, music, and lots of cuddly friends. In the Preschool Room, our tamariki loved dancing along to the Gummy Bear song.
The room was buzzing with energy as they moved and grooved together, sharing big smiles and laughter. After the dance, the excitement continued with a Bear Hunt — the children searched high and low to find hidden teddy bears, working together and using their imagination.
Meanwhile, in the Toddlers and Nursery rooms, it was heartwarming to watch children eagerly share their cuddly friends with their peers and kaiako, talking about their toys and building friendships. This sharing helped build friendships and made everyone feel included. At lunchtime, all the children and kaiako gathered outside in the sunshine for a lovely kai picnic.
Snuggled up with their teddy bears and cuddly toys, the tamariki enjoyed their kai together in the fresh air. It was a perfect moment of warmth, friendship, and joy right in the middle of the day. Teddy Bear’s Day was a great reminder of the comfort and happiness that cuddly toys bring to our tamariki.
At BestStart Dey Street, we love celebrating these special moments that help create joyful and caring communities. Thank you to all the families and kaiako who helped make this day so special!
