The Arts in Pipi
One of the planning topics we are focussing on in Pipi (our Under 2 space) at the moment is ‘The Arts.’ We have observed how much our tamariki love being expressive through different mediums, whether that be through dancing, music and waiata or visual arts. Over the past month we have been providing a range of opened-ended learning activities that tamariki can experience in their own time, at their own space. Children’s learning happens in many different ways and these activities are presented to our tamariki in a way that allows them to be inquisitive and imaginative in their own way.
With provocations like these tamariki have opportunity to learn through dispositions such as concentration, persistence and problem solving, while Mahi-a-rongo inspires our creativity and energy.
