The Arts Ngà Toi

At Best Start, St.Lukes, we have been facilitating our children with various arts and crafts.

We started to introduce different forms of art, and this particular artwork was requested by one of our children who saw this pattern at school. During this activity, we discussed what tapa cloth is and how it is important in pacific culture.

The children develop great creativity skills, communication skills, and aesthetic exploration through arts. We facilitate a variety of art activities to stimulate their curiosity along with communication skills.

Facilitating arts activities help the children develop holistic skills that will be advantageous to them in later learning.

In early childhood, infants are constantly growing and increasing their skills, constructing ideas of how things work, with toddlers rapidly developing their physical, social, cognitive and language capabilities (Schwarz & Luckenbill, 2012; Ministry of Education, 2017).
