Waiuku is a great community to live in and we are very lucky to have our local librarian Cathryn came to visit us this morning as she frequently does. Cathryn comes each month, and the children are so excited when she arrives as they know they are in for a real treat.

It’s always such an adventure as we dive into new books, today our books were focused on kindness and patience, in the form of superheroes, bears and waiting for a nut to crack.

In addition to the stories she read we had dance moves we learnt and bubbles to pop! A love for learning is so important at this age as this will carry them through to many years at school, and it is evident that the children have a love for trying new things and learning through reading and active exploration in visual storytelling.
