The Year so Far...
What an incredible year we have had so far! BestStart Papanui has seen some incredible teaching and learning moments and we are delighted to be able to enjoy these with our Whānau.
Within our Preschool we have been focusing on The Living World and within this we have explored people, cultures, ecosystems, our solar system, science, nature, Whare Tapa Wha….the list goes on! It has been an incredible space to discover our world and our tamariki have flourished in knowledge and new ideas. We have been delighted to have our whānau/parents come in and share with us some of their own careers; showing our tamariki the important work of nurses, sign language awareness and being a doctor!
Within our Nursery we have been exploring Autumnal Discoveries - colours, textures and a variety of provocations that allow our pepe to explore nature in all its glory. We explored both inside and outside with messy play, toi/art as well as manipulative play and the introduction of a morning mat time.
Throughout the centre we have been focusing on some really important celebrations such as Pink Shirt Day (anti-bullying), Samoan Language Week and of-course Mothers Day. We love to celebrate with our families and had a wonderful morning kai complete with an interactive mat time.
We look forward to many more Ako discoveries and opportunities to grow and learn.
