"There's no such thing as bad weather"
Dr Montessori said "There is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing". At BestStart Montessori Johnsonville, some of the children noticed the spring rain had created some lovely puddles. The children had a wonderful time driving their diggers through and shifting the water.
Further down the playground another child found a puddle created in the tarseal and found that his boat floated.
Exploration of our environment and allowing children to make their own discoveries is paramount to our philosophy. Self discovery is a powerful learning tool.
