Tirama tirama Matariki
Rebecca took a wonderful interactive mat time where she read and sung her books to us “row row row your waka’, “tane mahuta has a forest” and her new book she launched in June called “tirama tirama matariki”. Our tamariki and Kaiako loved listening to her books, they were catchy and fun to sing along too with beautiful illustrations.
Along with Rebecca visiting our centre we have also brought her new book and have sponsored her a kowhai tree. Rebecca will be planting a cluster of nine Kowhai trees at Pacific park, Mount Maunganui Late June. The tamariki have a star each that they are able to decorate and can place on our kowhai tree before it is planted. This is a Dream of Rebecca’s to do a “Matariki Kowhai tree planting”, and we are so excited to be apart of her dream and support her.
