Together with kindness, we grow
At the end of April we had a bit of an exciting end to our usual preschool day when the water pipes in the road decided to burst. This caused a huge flood of water that blocked the road and car access into the preschool. The children enjoyed a late snack out sitting in the teachers cars as they waited to get picked up. There were lots of learning moments as the children watched council workers and police out on the road and embraced the fun side of sitting in the teachers cars. What we did not realise until a few days later was that our neighbours at The Malthouse (costume hire) had flooding in their basement where lots of their props are stored. As soon we heard this, we decided as a centre to have a dress-up day fundraise money for them.
As a centre we are rediscovering our vision and what is important to us and our families, and being able to turn an event like the flooding was a way for us to support our local community and start living our new vision......Together with kindness, we grow.
