Today at BestStart Huntington, we had a special visit from BestStart Te Rapa for a Rippa rugby training session at our local park.
This practice was both the first of the season for both centres. We took the time to focus on building our hand/eye co-ordination skills through ripping off the tags from the other team, creating a cat & mouse themed game to do this. Towards the end, we practiced a few running and ball chasing skills before settling down for a picnic lunch together.
We are very excited for our first Rippa comp this March and it is great that we are able to combine with our other BestStart centres to work towards developing our children's physical skills, as well as promoting healthy practices, through exercise and healthy choices for our picnics.
