Our little Phoebe has a thing for books, and how surprised we were to see our older tamariki pick up on this and read her a story all by themselves.
The concept of Tuakana (older) and Teina (younger) is evident here at BestStart Kauri Flats, with our older children not only caring for the young, but engaging them in learning moments too.
While we have a separate infant room we often bring the infants through to the toddler room as both infants and toddlers alike benefit from these engagements during quieter times. Of course reading stories can be tiring work, and when all is said and done, a comfy bed is definitely the next step. Treasured moments like these are what keeps our passion for teaching alive each day and you would have to agree that the level of cuteness is right up at 100%!!
