Turangawaewae
In our Mako Room we have been learning about Turangawaewae, where we stand in our community. Kaiako have printed out some maps and Google Earth photos so we could find our street and our buildings. It was amazing to see our playground from high above!
We could see our special places such as Hagley Park, Mona Vale and Dean’s Bush! Then together we made our own wall map of our area, showing we where are and where our local landmarks are. Some children even drew pictures of their parents at work in local workplaces!
