On Friday 17th May BestStart Railway Road joined others around Aotearoa in standing against bullying. During the lead up to the day we practiced being ‘Upstanders’. This is a person who can help someone who they feel might be being treated unfairly. Children learnt ways to show others awhi (support) with their words and their actions. Even though the day has passed we are hearing tamariki using their new ‘Upstander’ skills and showing love and respect towards each other.
