Valentine’s Day at the centre was a heartwarming celebration filled with joy, love, and connection. Whānau joined us for a special morning tea, sharing smiles, laughter, and meaningful moments with their little ones. The atmosphere was full of excitement as children and families came together to celebrate the spirit of caring and togetherness.

As part of the celebration, our kaiako created a memorable art experience with the children by crafting handprint keepsakes. These special creations symbolised the unique bond between tamariki and their whānau. Each handprint captured a moment in time, reflecting the love, connection, and appreciation that surrounds every child in our care.

This experience was grounded in our philosophy of learning through play, allowing children to explore, express, and create in ways that are meaningful to them. It also connects to our local curriculum, Where Toetoe Grows, which nurtures strong relationships, celebrates identity, and fosters whānau engagement.

By blending creativity, play, and connection, children experienced learning that is joyful, purposeful, and deeply connected to their own lives. The morning tea and art activity created a warm and inclusive environment, strengthening our sense of community and providing families with a memorable celebration of love, care, and appreciation.
