Guess who visits us today?... Harold the Giraffe.

Through the Healthy Harold Programme they deliver individualized health and wellbeing learning experiences for tamariki.

At BS Stoddard we were privileged to have Harold the Giraffe from Life Education Trust visit us on 29th October. Natalie and Harold taught us some important life skills and education. They taught us the hygiene habits and healthy routine to follow. For e.g. washing hands, drinking lots of water, eating healthy food, applying sun block, and wearing a sun hat etc.

We also learnt a breathing exercise - where we take a deep breath and count till 5 before we breath out, our children loved this task and now p[practice it during mat times.

They also showed and discussed the important internal body parts like brain, heart, intestines, liver, kidneys etc and the functions it plays in daily life. Our children got to pick up an organ and place it on the body cut-out. We also sang some Harold songs on good habits. All our children received a special sticker from Harold. It was an educational morning with lots of fun and learning.
