Visit from the Fire Truck
As part of our focus on different roles in our community, our tamariki at BestStart Styx Mill had a wonderful visit from the local fire station. Our tamariki discussed what to do in a fire and learnt about the different clothing and protection that firemen need for going into fires.
The excitement flowed as we then took turns sitting in the fire engine followed by squirting the hose. Even our nursery took part in this. As the firemen we waved goodbye to the fire truck and they put their siren and lights on for us as they drove away.
Our tamariki loved this experience and were so excited to share this with their whanau.
