Visit from the local police
Beststart Onslow Senior Kindy children have been learning all about Superheroes this term and our Community Superhero's dropped by to teach the children about ways to keep safe. We had a lovey visit from Papakura Police who came and talked with the children on keeping safe in cars, on bikes and walking in our streets. The children learnt what to do if they became separated from their parents while in Papakura as well as how to contact the Police when they need help in a hurry.
The children had a wonderful morning with our community superhero's as they explored the various aspects of the Police Uniform, what the handcuffs are used for and of course the best time ever in the Police car. Sirens and Lights galore for all to explore as they had their well thought our questions answered and more knowledge gained from this very special visit.
