Visit to Beckenham Primary School
Off the preschool children go on one of their many excursions to the local primary school. This is a regular occurrence at BestStart Beckenham. As part of our “Be School Ready” programme we encourage a reciprocal relationship with Beckenham Primary and St Peters Primary school. This means our tamariki get to visit regularly, participating in a new entrance level experience. They have interactions with teachers and other children within a classroom environment. This exposure within a primary school class environment will help support our tamariki to grow their confidence, independence, trust, and sense of belonging.
