A wonderful excursion for our under two's today to the Ruakura Strawberry farm.  We have been really focusing on building the our children's knowledge through using the localised curriculum model, as well as educating our children around how food is grown and making healthy choices.  After picking a couple of punnets of strawberries, we had a small picnic lunch, before bringing back all our specially selected strawberries to the centre to share for afternoon tea with the preschool children.

Thank you to our hands on parent helpers who joined us. This was a great opportunity for our children to make connections with the wider world and be able to explore and develop relationships with their peers in an outside setting.  Being a new centre, we value relationship building with our children, families and community.
