At BestStart Hastings Central Kindy, we truly value our localised curriculum and love finding out about our local myths and legends. The past couple of months we have been learning about Te Mata o Rongokako and we went on an excursion to visit him. We had such a wonderful time, talking about Te Mata o Rongokako and seeing him. The tamariki had beautiful conversations with one another and their friendships are blossoming. At BestStart Hastings Central Kindy, we love for the tamariki to be immersed in Te Ao Māori and through these experiences, the children are learning about Ngāti Kahungunu, our local iwi. Kia ora
