Each week the children engage in activities alongside the residents such as creating collage pictures, bubble blowing, singing and reading stories. The connections built between the residents and our children are very special and something that we value greatly. These regular visits provide an opportunity for the tamariki to do something outside their comfort zone, engage with people in a different setting and build their confidence in engaging with others. This is a great experience for our children and the residents as they build relationships, engage in shared learning experiences and have fun!!! Connections within our community is something that we value greatly and being able to spend time with our local kaumatua is something that enriches the learning experiences we provide.

He aha te mea nui o te ao What is the most important thing in the world? He tangata, he tangata, he tangata It is the people, it is the people, it is the people Maori proverb
