We are thrilled to share some amazing news — BestStart Ascot Avenue has officially achieved the Healthy Heart Gold Award! This incredible achievement is the result of months of teamwork, dedication, and community collaboration.
Since mid-2023, our teaching team and families have been working together to promote healthy eating, physical activity, and overall wellbeing for our tamariki. Our Healthy Heart journey began in 2023 with Ria, and over time we proudly progressed from the Silver / Whānau Engagement Award to now reaching Gold — the highest recognition in this programme.
The Gold Award reflects our centre’s strong commitment to nurturing healthy habits and supporting children to make positive choices for their bodies and minds. We couldn’t have done it without the support of our wonderful whānau and the efforts of our passionate teaching team.
To celebrate, we’ll be hosting a Red Dress-Up Day when the Healthy Heart coordinator visits to present our award. We can’t wait to celebrate this milestone with our children and families! Together, we’re creating a community that thrives on health, happiness, and heart.
