When we play with puzzles we are using our fine motor skills. These are when we make small movements that require us to use the small muscles of our fingers and wrists. When playing with puzzles, we learn to pick up, pinch and grasp pieces and then move them around in order to sort, fit and solve the puzzle. 

This is teaching us life-long skills for when we get older!
