Doncaster Drive Kindy loves to learn and we especially love to have visitors come in to the centre to teach us about looking after ourselves and our world.

Recently we have had fun with Anne from Plunket who played a great game with us all about what makes happy teeth and sad teeth. Our children picked up on this concept and have got very good at sharing what they now know.  We have even made up our own game for this, putting it on the kai room wall, so we can play it again.

Under cover Cody has been in to teach us about being safe in the sun using a fun song we can sing so we remember our sun safety.

We are part of the Councils Resource Wise Programme and we did the great waste race.  The children learnt all about recycling and how they can separate our  rubbish.

Finally, just in time for the summer holidays, Sue from the Papamoa lifeguards came in to talk to the children all about water safety.  We had fun dressing up as a life guard and the tamariki now know we all have to swim with an adult beside us and between the flags when at the beach to be really safe in the water.

Our Kindy kids are a curious bunch and always have lots of questions and ideas to share with our visitors.  We all love to explore and develop our ideas and learning together is so much fun.
