Wearable Art Friday
Today as part of our school holiday programme the Harakeke room children got to get creative and messy making colourful headbands for Wearable Art Friday. During the activity the children got to choose from a variety of pom-poms and feathers to add to their head band. When the children were finished making their headbands, they got to use their wonderful imaginations and play with them.
For children getting to make their own head band they can dive into their creative minds and strengthen their fine motor skills and hand eye coordination when choosing what materials to use. The children are also engaging in sensory play by touching all different materials that were on offer.
