At BestStart Clarence we value friendship. In recent times, many challenges were presented during lockdown Level 4 due to Delta variant Covid-19 breakout in our country. We all stayed at home to keep ourselves and the community safe. We missed our friends, Kaiako, and whanau. As soon as we dropped down to Level 2, most of our tamariki was back in the centre in no time. The excitement on our tamariki ‘s face was evident and presented a welcoming atmosphere. Cuddles, smiles, and the phrase “I missed you” was in the air. Our tamariki were noticed singing, dancing, playing, giggling, working, and holding hands together. The presence of tight friendship within the tamariki was observed by the staff.

During this tough time where the whole world is struggling with Covid-19, our tamariki showed how to love and care for each other and those important in their lives.

Ka pai friends! You all are the perfect role models for all of us.
