Welcome Peter!
At BestStart MacDonald Street we would like to welcome Peter Rabbit to the Kowhai room. He joins our other bunny Bugs. Peter has settled in so well and the children and Bugs adore him.
The children love looking after our bunnies, they feed them, help us tuck them in for the night and make sure they get lots of love.
Pets in early childhood centres play an important role in contributing to children’s self-esteem and by developing positive relationships with pets can aid in the development of trusting relationships with others as well as reducing stress and anxiety.
