Wet & Wild Day!
It was definitely a wet & wild summer day is the perfect time to explore, and there’s nothing more fun than spending time in water.
Playing in water is like playing in a brand new playground where even the simplest activities, like clapping your hands or jumping, are a whole new sensory experience. These children did some experiments, they did not worry about falling or crashing into hard surfaces.
Water play doesn’t have to be loud and busy, it can be a tranquil activity where children are quietly absorbed. Children benefit from the relaxing and repetitive nature of scooping, pouring and running their hands through the water.
Water play allows children to explore and interact with each other, discovering new things within shared spaces offers a great opportunity for social development like co operating and sharing. As the children were playing, they were so excited to communicate their discoveries to each other around them. They laughed. This is a confidence booster for these remarkable children! There are many opportunities for communication development and social growth during water play!
