Whanau Engagement at BestStart Manurewa Central
At BestStart Manurewa Central we pride ourselves on our determination to promote a wide range of cultural celebrations and live up with our Centre vision “where culture lives”.
During the month of July we celebrated Matariki, Maori New Year. We hosted many families and it was great opportunity to catch up with our whanau to set aspirations for their Children for Term 3.
The teaching team and the children collaborated well and prepared hangi for all our Whanau.
Throughout the Centre there were displays from what children had been learning throughout the week related to Maori culture.
The Centre displayed whanaungatanga by engaging in positive and collaborative relationships with their learners, their families and Whanau ,colleagues and the wider Community.
