Kahurangi Room
We have been having a lot of fun in the Kahurangi room this term. We have introduced a lot of new children this term as a few children have transitioned into the toddlers room. We have fostered new relationships with whānau and tamariki and introduced routines to them. We are loving how the children are settling in fairly quickly and this is down to the wonderful kaiako.

While settling them in, we have introduced activities to enhance fine and gross motor skills. We are introducing them to the 16 Areas of Play within the space inside and outside - the children are especially loving the sandpit and painting/drawing our babies are very expressive and creative. The children are having fun while learning!

Preschool Room
In the preschool room this month we have been enjoying reading our books as well as getting to know our body parts.

The tamariki have also been really enjoying exploring and building new friendships with those who share the same interest as them. Getting creative with wooden blocks has been a big interest without our room.

This month it has been great to see how many of our tamariki have been enjoying helping their friends as well as assisting them when they are in need. Amongst our girls they have been enjoying drawing pictures for their friends and folding them up to form letters to take home - this has put big smiles on their faces!
