Woohoo!!! BestStart Palm Springs won!!!
Every year we enter the BOP District Health Board Oral Health challenge and this year we won first prize.
Our entry included an amazing book that documented all the teaching and learning that we do here at BestStart Palm Springs that promotes excellent oral health for our tamariki and their families.
Some of the activities included; an egg experiment where eggs where placed in different types of drinks to see what effect they have on our teeth. Laminated teeth that the children draw on with whiteboard marker then brush clean with a tooth brush, learning what foods are good or bad for our teeth and so much more.
A special shout out to Assistant Centre Manager Katee for driving this project.
