Working together and having fun!
As part of our vision at BestStart Waihi East, we teach our tamariki to look after themselves but also to work in partnership with each other and the wider community.
We have incorporated lots of teambuilding activities during our mat times, where tamariki have to listen to instructions and work together to gain a good outcome. There has been great interest in these activities as well as a lot of fun. Our spiderweb activity and the parachute team building activities were everyones favorites. There are many more to come. As a result we have seen that our tamariki do work better together and have become more giving to each other. Come and join us!
