On the 6th of June 2020, we held a Community Working Bee here at BestStart Hastings Central Kindy. We are creating a more natural environment supporting our respect and love for Papatūānuku, sustainability and planting our own produce. We value kaitiakitanga as one of the core aspects of our philosophy and we encourage the children to support our mahi in the outdoors. All of our BestStart whānau were involved and our environment is looking beautiful with a calming and peaceful feel. We thank Hastings Bunnings for their kind donations for our gardens, Ecoworks and Gavin for donating a digger for the day, our centre whānau, teachers and partners! Kia ora!
